Mr. Templin is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and the American Association of Healthcare Consultants. HIMSS has recognized him as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management. He is a member of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) and the Society for Health Systems. The ACHE has recognized him as a Certified Healthcare Executive and the AAHC has recognized him as a Certified Healthcare Consultant. He served four years on the national Board of Directors of CLMA. He was the HIMSS liaison member of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Committee on Workload Recording. Twice he was chair of the HIMSS Education Committee, was a HIMSS representative to the Senior Leadership Education Task Force of the Joint Healthcare Information Technology Alliance. He is a past chair of the HIMSS Fellows Committee. He is chair of the Small and Independent Consultants Special Interest Group (SIG), and chair of the SIG Chairs. He has also served on energy committees for the American Hospital Association and Blue Cross Association. Within New York, he has served on the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Greater New York Laboratory Technical Advisory Committee. He was a member of the Task Force on Nursing Personnel of the Governor's Health Advisory Council. He was a member of the ACHE Affiliated Chapters and Certification committees and a Reagent’s Advisory Council. He is a member of Who's Who, Worldwide. He is past-president of the Northeastern New York Healthcare Managers Association, an ACHE affiliate. Finally, he is secretary-elect for the SHS Board of Directors. Mr. Templin received the ACHE Regents Senior Healthcare Executive Award. He
has received national recognition as an expert on productivity measurement,
nurse staffing and patient classification, and operating room management. He has
delivered many speeches and papers on these topics. Within HIMSS he as received
the Management Engineer of the Year Award, the Fellows Distinguished Service
Award and the Society Leadership Award.
CHARISSA ASHMAN, RN, BSN, MBA Her administrative experience includes working as a full time supervisor for a 200-bed community hospital, a case manager for a large non-profit home health agency, and as a project developer at General Electric Corporate Health. At GE, she assisted in both the development of scorecards and a national employee benefits plan. Ms. Ashman was formerly a healthcare consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she performed services for a variety of provider types. Ms. Ashman is a registered professional nurse in New York and California. Some of her affiliations include membership with Sigma Theata Tau, the National Professional Honor Society for Registered Nurses; the American College of Healthcare Executives; the Medical Group Management Association; and the American Health Lawyers Association. Charissa has an Associate in Applied Science degree from Maria College in Albany, New York, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Institute of Technology at Utica-Rome, New York, and a MBA in Health Systems Administration from Union College, Schenectady, New York. In addition, she has completed Project Leadership Training at Gannon University and Six Sigma Greenbelt Training, at the General Electric Company, Schenectady, New York.
JOAN RIZZI-HENDERSON, RN, MBA, CMC Prior to becoming part of the Templin team in 1986, Ms. Rizzi-Henderson served as
senior consultant for Applied Leadership Technologies. Before that, she was the
manager and assistant director of nursing for the Hospital Association of New York State. Known for her in-depth knowledge of nursing service productivity, monitoring methods,
quality assurance, and management and employee relations, Ms. Rizzi-Henderson is a former
adjunct faculty member in the health services administration program at Quinnipiac College
in Hamden, Connecticut and the MBA program at Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport,
Connecticut. She received her certification from the Institute of Management
Consultants and is a member of the Connecticut League of Nursing and the Association of
Nurse Consultants. Ms. Rizzi-Henderson received her Nursing Degree from Flower-Fifth Avenue Hospital in New York, her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Quinnipiac College, and her Master's Degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University.
